Live Pogonatum urnigerum common name Urn Haircap Grows up to 3-8cm with waxy blue green brownish leaves. seta when present Autum onwards reaches up to 3cm tall. The photos show the vivid red male parts
Likes humidity, partial shade, tolerates sunlight, loves to grow around slate rock, gravelly disturbed ground.
Dislikes long periods of direct sunlight, long periods of drought can alter its blue-green colour
Arrived safe and sound in small little bags - thats what I ordered. Moss now sits in the nursery box, getting greener and looks lovely. Some brownish peaces were but not all so I am pleased and happy.
Urn Haircap moss - this one is something magical, love it so much. During the heat wave I thought I lost it but it is recovering now with full power and looks so great.
