Dotted Thyme-Moss (Rhizomnium punctatum)

Rhizomnium punctatum also known as Dotted thyme moss. It ranges from 1 -10cm tall with large leaves (5-6mm) This common moss thrives well with high humidity, high shade, and wet acidic soil substrates, they particularly like rotten wood. Their substrates are often covered by a greenish-brown, alga-like felt, from which small, sparse, leafy shoots grow from. capsules are common in Autumn/Winter.
This Acrocarp Moss can maintain its shape well but breaks apart with a gentle pull, making it easy to tweeze into substrates.

Ideal for rewilding very wet and well shaded ground types
