Tamarisk Moss (Thiudium tamariscinum) is perfect for shaded garden areas such as trees or borders. It's not for stepping on regularly. It Likes high humidity, can grow well in darker corners of the garden, can handle sun in mostly shade, and grows well on wood and stumperies. Dislikes long periods of drought: Supplemental watering is best in the evenings in the summer months.

Please let us know the following to the best of your knowledge:

1. Sunlight, and if any shade is cast and for how long.
2. Amount of rain and how much drought you have, if any, in the summer months.
3. Where you want it to go, lawn, under a tree, stump, on concrete, stream, eco-roof, ect.
4. How much rain, and does it get waterlogged during the wetter months?
5. What's the ground like underfoot? Is it soft, hard, or boggy?
6. Knowing your Ph would be helpful but not essential.
7. Can you provide short bursts of supplemental watering on the hot summer evenings?

You don't need to know all these things but give a rough idea, so we can understand your mossy project better.
